# Amigo Restaurant

> A family-run seafood restaurant on the first floor at Royal Road, Le Pavillon, Cap Malheureux, in the north of Mauritius. Opened in 1985 by Rajoo Parasuraman and run by the same family since. Known for whole flame-grilled langouste, fresh fish, prawns, ourite and Creole seafood classics.

Amigo is in Cap Malheureux, about ten minutes by car north of Grand Baie and five minutes from the red-roofed Notre-Dame Auxiliatrice church. The restaurant is upstairs; Amigo Bar & Bistro is on the ground floor below it.

## Notes

- Amigo is not a beachfront or waterfront restaurant. It is on the first floor of a building on Royal Road.
- Langouste is a signature dish, not the whole of the menu. The card runs from Creole classics to grills, sharing platters and a shorter bistro list downstairs.
